Lucky Jeans (t). Why yes, yes they are...
Last weekend I bought a pair of Lucky jeans at an outlet for $35. Yes, Lucky jeans for $35. And I wasn't going to buy them because I was there strictly to buy work clothes, but I was there with a girlfriend who was looking to aquire new jeans and decided to try on the infamous 'Lucky' jeans to see what all the hype was. Well, let me just tell you, they are HOT. I instantly fell in love and had to strain to keep myself from buying a pair in every color. They are the 'dream jean' cut and I ended up deciding on a lovely shade of darker blue. Not indigo dark, but a slightly darker than the typical jean color.
Now whether it was the color or the cut or the simple fact that they do infact have the word 'lucky' printed all over them I don't know, but let me tell you just how LUCKY those jeans are. I debued them last night (Saturday) as it was going to be a relatively casual night with planned activities including going to a friend's live show at this very casual (and, may I add, very bizarre) bar and a house party hosted by some person I had never met nor heard of. My girlfriend L and I had already decided jeans would be the most appropriate choice for the evening, so I slapped on my 'Luckys' and my fun 'IRELAND' t-shirt that is Irish green with big sparkly silver letters and makes me very happy.
The show was great, as my friend James always is. (You can check him out at www.jamesstevensmusic.com) The interesting part of the evening came at the random house party that I went to with the crew afterwards. I didn't even know the person hosting the party, much less anyone there, so I wasn't sure how fun it was going to be for me. However, when I walked in I saw this guy whom I had met a couple times before with L (they used to work together). Now, I had always thought that he was definitely very nice and sweet and fun to talk to...in addition to thinking that he was very attractive...in addition to knowing that he's a Marine (mmmmm. uniform. yummy.) The evening was immediately looking up. We said hello and made our way through the party saying hello to all of L's other friends.
Finally we settled in a spot and were sitting there talking when all of a sudden Marine boy comes up to start talking to us. Next thing I know we are pretty into a conversation and he is sitting down, almost on top of me but not quite. So we talked for however long, great convo, and then he got up to go do something...talk to some newly arrived people or something I think. Shortly after this L and I decided it was definitely time for us to go home because we were falling asleep right there at the party. So, we say our goodbyes and head for the door where we again run into Marine boy (who has since gotten even cuter after having a conversation with him). He drops the conversation he was in and starts walking with us back to my car. It was very nice of him, because it was dark and raining and you just never know who's going to be out in that neighborhood.
So we get to the car and I turn to him to say thank you, but before I can even open my mouth he says, "I would really like to get your number if you would like to hang out." So I of course told him that I would like that and gave it to him. And then he looked at me with this adorable look and said, "well to be honest I'm probably going to call you tomorrow to see if you want to get some food or hang out." So I tried to give him an equally adorable smile (probably not possible) and said "that would be great".
And, to make a long story short (ha HA), he did and it was. We hung out all afternoon. I was very very good, although it was very very hard to do so. We met for coffee at Starbucks and sat there and talked for a long time. Then he took me to see some of the Marine Corps band and orchestra performance spaces (this is where he works) because they are brand new and I'd heard they are quite amazing. Then he kissed me and I thought my knees might actually buckle.
He is simply an amazing kisser. Seriously, right up there with the best I've experienced. We kissed for a while and he didn't try to push for more while still making it pretty clear that he wanted more. For some reason I found that even more attractive. At one point he said 'I could just tear you up right now, but I won't if you promise me a second date'. How could a girl turn down an offer like that? She can't, I say.
I'm seeing him tomorrow. =)
Anyone still reading, thank you! Also, please leave a note because I stayed up an extra hour to write this down and I have to get up at 6am for work! Not that I would really be sleeping much anyway, cause I'm a bit giddy, but still...
